Yes, but be vigilant about guidelines. Especially in the day of Google Panda when search engines are trying to rid their index of sites with low-quality content, you need to make sure that guest posts are up to speed with the quality standard of your blog. Anytime someone asks to be a guest blogger, I send them those guidelines.

I would start prepping the post to be published, then get a weird feeling and Google a sentence to find it was published on their own blog and/or article directories. Guest bloggers that didn’t give me their social contact info (gravatar email address, Twitter handle, and Google+ link) as noted in the guest post guidelines.
