Reddit is a social network with a forum-style discussion structure. Every thread has an OP (original poster) who started it. Reddit launched in 2005 and sold to Conde Nast less than a year later for $10 million USD. Subreddits have their own URL, for example the Star Wars subreddit can be found at www.reddit.com/r/StarWars.

To me, an outside observer, they have treated it as a sales platform though positioned it as a community forum. We just don’t know who owns the site, who runs the site, or who this poster is. There was a forum/blog/WOMF posting titled “Is WOMF locally owned?&# Is it one person or several?
