Nofollow links to sites with which you don’t want/need to share link equity. Check it out. Flatten your blog. This site is deep, not flat.

I usually build these sites on Wordpress (though they look nothing like your typical blog) and pump out around 25 quality articles to start with, then a couple of articles per week from there on out. Or, if you prefer to keep your sites private, do you have a standard wordpress template that you use that accomplished the structure?

If I need to check something or add a link I’ll simply type “FILL THIS IN&# so once I put the post into Wordpress I know where to make changes. I still use it personally (social media is about being social, after all) and I will not just share quotes or ideas, but you’ll see a lot less action from me over there.

In the past I would write posts in Wordpress which itself has a fairly uncluttered interface, but even then I would constantly refresh posts and play with the style, rather than focusing on the content and getting the words out. There are versions for both Windows and Mac, which is always useful as…I’m a Mac.
