Twitter as a feed reader (for more important feeds). I subscribe to nearly 150 feeds and have no systematic way of reading them ( unlike Robert Scoble ). Sometimes, I’ll read the noisier (and most frequently updated) feeds first so I can tune into the more important feeds later. Answers Yahoo!

You can see how many people are subscribing to your RSS feed and from which sources, and if you use the new Google Analytics integration, you can see how many clicks each individual post is getting from feed readers. There was even a time where every post on the Technorati homepage linked to one of my own websites.

For two of the niches I didn’t know the top sites personally, so I relied on Technorati and The New York Times for recommendations. Whether readers like it or not, at least you’ve made your point. I tried to pick some of the biggest sites in each niche as it’s pointless using unsuccessful blogs as your guide.
