How a network as large as Facebook can take such a lacksidaisical approach to their mobile app development is mind boggling to me. While I have not experienced their mobile apps outside of Apple devices, their iPhone and iPad apps are horrendous. But ignoring a mobile audience for so long is a death sentence. Fair enough.

NOTE: My review only covers features that are iPhone 4 centric, so new features of OS 4 aren’t covered here so you can get a true sense of my review of what this actual device delivers uniquely. If they can get this to work on 3G, then we’re talking about a great feature. The Great 1. That’s crazy period.

My hope is that Windows Mobile 7 lessens the gap. I opted for the Wifi version as 3G is skechy at best, and there are other options for mobile broadband even with the Wifi version. iPhone 4 is going to have it, so I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time before this feature hits, but it should have shipped with it.

In addition, networks like ABC, NBC and CNBC let you watch their programming free of charge on their websites and mobile apps. Note that many newer TVs circumvent the need for these with much of these features built in so if you have a TV with these apps already available, or are looking for a new TV, you may be able to save here.

However when it comes to a mobile Twitter app see #7. I don’t use it for anything heavy, but it’s a perfect mobile Twitter experience anytime I need to post, read or just check in. Comes with a mobile version too, and with an Android app. Logically everything is laid out well, and it fulfills my needs perfectly.
