There are incredible tools and services at your disposal, most of which don’t cost a dime. They have hosted and self-hosted solutions depending on your needs. If you haven’t done so already, familiarize yourself a bit with FTP software and a dependable affordable hosting solution (I use Bluehost , they are outstanding).

I personally prefer the self hosted method which is not as difficult or expensive as one would think. On top of that, by self hosting, you have the ability to create multiple sites/blogs at no additional hosting cost. I use Bluehost.com ($6.95/month)

And it costs you nothing to post. If you’re hosting any type of event, Twitter can be a great tool to give real time updates to those either in attendance or those unable to attend. By developing a casual persona in the Twitterverse, you can establish yourself as a connected social personality. Hire People. Increase Your Network.

Yes, the cost of living in Montana is less then many areas, but I did my homework. Missoula is not a small town, and the cost of living isn’t that low. And everyone is different in their needs, cost of living, personal circumstances. Especially considering the great lengths Vanns went to hire someone for this role.
