I do not know what I want Twitter to represent. Twitter used to be very valuable to me. Because I am happily active on Facebook and LinkedIn, I sometimes think about deleting my Twitter account. I tried different tactics in recent months to maintain my Twitter attraction but everything failed. I don’t know.

Six years on Facebook and three years on Twitter taught me a valuable lesson: social networking sites are about more than being social and can be the impetus for business, income, and relationships. Regardless of the chicken and egg, I owe it to myself to take a much-needed break from Facebook and Twitter. Maybe a year.

The big sites ( Facebook , Twitter and MySpace , as well as others such as LinkedIn ) all have international audiences and can be used in different languages. If so, it would be the single most important resource, especially given the intermittent bans imposed by the Chinese authorities on sites like Facebook and Twitter.
