First, I’m going to say kudos to Apple for trying involve themselves in the world of social media. Let’s envision this scenario: a user has a support issue about an Apple product. Apple has no such protocol in place, and at this point, there is no engagement. I’m going to stop there, though.

This is not a regular practice on the social news giant, and unfortunately, that is probably the biggest thing causing its downfall. There was only one occasion when the users were able to make a lasting impression on the social news site. It’s hard to say if that will happen again. Time will only tell.

What about the ad deal you currently have with Microsoft? Google and Microsoft are going after social networks and some people feel aren’t monetizable.

Some of the sites I recommend for educational materials include: Free Sphinn : Sphinn is an Internet Marketing social news site. Users submit timely news articles to Sphinn, and the community votes up the best stories to appear on the front page. Something might be possible with asp, but not every SEO is a Microsoft MVP.
