The High Point: Facebook In 2004, I joined Facebook and my behavior changed drastically. I became a lot more conservative in choosing my friends in Facebook (as broken down in the chart below) with a few exceptions because Facebook is starting to blend in with my social media enthusiasm. I had many friends just like that. Super post.

As a college graduate and early adopter of Facebook (in 2004), I could definitely see that. Why did I join in 2004? It was a real private but promising social network. One was in college in 2004, while the other was in high school. Initial audience. And it kept getting bigger , but only for college kids.

In fact, you can validate that by cross checking my user ID, 102991, which should indicate that I’ve been around for a real long time (since February 2004, to be more precise). A new rant for me, everyone complaining about facebook privacy, yet don’t educate themselves about how to secure their privacy.
