I guess it’s assumed in social spaces that when s/he initiates the friend request, you can comment on anything on their Facebook wall or tweet back at them about something personal or even comment on a photo. Unless the comments are not appropriate, no offense should be taken at all by the other person.

The High Point: Facebook In 2004, I joined Facebook and my behavior changed drastically. I’ll admit (a little secret of mine) that I initially befriended a few folks I admired on TV (specifically, 2006-2007′s Beauty and the Geek) but since I have no personal connection to the guys, I deleted the non-genuine contacts.

As a college graduate and early adopter of Facebook (in 2004), I could definitely see that. Why did I join in 2004? One was in college in 2004, while the other was in high school. I’m a borderline user of both social networks; I graduated from college in 2003, but joined Facebook when it established in 2004.
