Use HootSuite to publish content to multiple social media accounts and/or platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Ping.fm (which pushes to many other platforms) and now they’ve just added WordPress functionality. HootSuite features it’s own URL shortner ow.ly OpenBeak is mobile client for posting updates to Twitter.

On the other hand, Plurk is really new, and thus, Twitter wins on followers (and the fact that mobile access — via SMS — totally owns), so the Plurk discussions (for now) are at a minimum. It works like bit.ly, but incorporates all URL shorteners into the data mix. The dominant URL shortener is also the best – in my opinion – at tracking and analytics. URLs whenever possible, and make liberal use of their “+&# feature. URL to see how many times it’s been clicked on, and by whom.
