Do you need to own your community?

So to me, community can happen anywhere from a corner sandlot to a Facebook group or weekly Twitter chat or Subreddit on kittens. When you think about it in the big picture, companies like LinkedIn, Facebook and Google all have skin in the community game. Humans are a curious species that will find places to connect.

Why I am not sleeping on Google+

Both of these groups are wrong. Sure it’s 40 million user-base is dwarfed by those of Facebook, Twitter and even LinkedIn, but none of them have the user base of Google. Some are calling it a Facebook killer , while others are calling it dead. Think I am wrong?
