If you’re going to use any of the tools below, I recommend you use them not only to give you an overview of your projects, but as indicators as to what you can change to increase your conversions. With Google Analytics, you would see huge traffic spikes the next day, and miss the opportunity to maximise conversions on that traffic.

To take advantage of the Google Reader downtime they’ve turned off free accounts (which didn’t allow more than 64 feeds) so this may come back in the future. Netvibes – they’ve been around for as long as I can remember, so it should give you some hope they’ll be sticking around.

By studying their feed, you can learn a lot more about how important social media is to them. It’s also a conversation medium. Imagine receiving over 500 updates a day and not checking your feed reader (or your FriendFeed) in 2 days. FriendFeed isn’t just an aggregator, though.

What a conversion actually is varies from site to site, but for me, my conversions were product purchases and RSS subscriptions. First of all, I made my feed subscription options the first thing anyone sees in the blog sidebar so that they get a lot of views. And finally, I made sure to show my feed count.

6 Ways to Filter Your RSS Feeds. Just define your feed using the "Fetch Feed" module, connect it to a "Filter" module, which can filter either in or out by title, description, category, author, or date, and then connect it out to the Pipe Output. It isnt as comprehensive as Feed Rinse, but you do perhaps have more control.
