A few weeks ago I noticed that Klout had added the WordPress button to the available channels to connect to which was encouraging. This is not a knock on those that do on hosted platforms like WordPress.com, Blogger or Tumblr, they do exist. But to not include and factor self hosted blogs is a serious miss on Klout’s part.

And it’s certainly not the same as Klout. Help them understand that there are ways they can listen to their community, leverage feedback, and improve their business. Unfortunately, many clients have kneejerk reactions to trolls and sometimes feel like they are representing the thoughts/opinions of the rest of their community.

Tools like Klout can really help you find the influencers among those who are merely twitterfeeding it up the wazoo. Broadcasting works better as a billboard.
