I was thinking Netvibes but wondered if you have another option? It can’t be a purely RSS play as we need gadgets/widgets for API only based services. On your mobile device, Google Play offers applications ranging from games to news readers to home screen widgets. Really grumpy !

The prototypes of such environment are built in the Start pages Netvibes and Pageflakes. multichannel environment Netvibes Pageflakes. As you can see, there are little subscribe widgets near the top of the page that allow you to choose which application to invoke to add your subscription. A lot of web sites will prominently display a link to their feed. Often, that link will take you to a FeedBurner page, which they refer to as their BrowserFriendly page.Â

I’ve been including it in my e-signature for a while now, and have incorporated it into my website as well as this blog (you’ve probably noticed the Tungle widget on this blog, even if you haven’t used it). When people use it instead of email to schedule meetings, it really saves time. But I should try it.

I run a Mac application called Automater which automatically copies files from a certain folder onto my iDisk at 1pm everyday. As a side-note, at the start of the year I wrote about how I use Netvibes for pretty much everything. it has a desktop application too. I see you use a lot of the same apps I use. Great list!

Not only is a minimalist desktop fast to load and nice to look at, it also keeps you in a simple frame of mind for when you are working on other applications. If you can do the same with some of your applications, then I recommend that you do. Write Room is a great application and worth every penny in my eyes. Keep it simple.
