Links can do this regardless of whether or not they contain the “nofollow” attribute, contain redirects, come from a site with a high PageRank , and so on. One advantage blogs have over other websites is the ability to submit to tons of various blog and RSS aggregators. This should be your immediate goal as well. Comment on blogs.
