Different types of affiliate programs. The Amazon model, where you’re effectively helping them sell products on their site, isn’t the only way to do affiliate marketing. There are also affiliate networks such as Rakuten Advertising and Commission Junction , where you promote a variety of products from different suppliers.

I tried to do all the things that the experts tell you to do: join an affiliate network, find partners to help with promotion, guest post, write a sales page well in advance, and on and on. Tactic 2: Developing a product to encourage newsletter signups. That was exactly what I wanted to hear!

Of the shops that Vanessa shops in, there’s only really one or two that don’t have an affiliate program already. Some of them will have their own affiliate program but most of them will use what’s called an affiliate network. There are networks around as well. I’ll link to those in the show notes today as well.
