Technorati is not the voice of blogging authority that it once was, but each year the advertising network publishes a report that is required reading for internet marketers. Instead they should be looking at pageviews, comments, replies and retweets if they wish to gain insight into engagement and influence.

It was around this time that other Advertising Networks began to appear. I’d also been growing my traffic, building reader engagement/community etc – but the extra income stream helped a lot. My goal was to go full time as a blogger. I experimented with quite a few but the one I had most success with was Chitika.
