Because I started looking at lists in a different light in 2014 than in the past, it’s now irrelevant to me how many I follow. For years, I was afraid of following too many because I didn’t want the people I cared about the most to get drowned by others. How many I followed in 1 month. Same story on Google+ and Facebook.

Back on December 3, I returned to Twitter after a 6-week hiatus and began increasing people and companies who I thought I should follow. See that peak of January 6 I mentioned in the last paragraph? In retrospect, I followed too many too fast and got overwhelmed.
