It came to light this week that after the 2020 election, Bill Barr‘s Department of Justice was looking into a Twitter account named after a politician’s fictitious cow. Unlike some other social media, on Twitter it is within the rules and terms of service to have an anonymous account, as the system does not mandate identity verification.

Less Than 30% of Fortune 500 CEOs Have Profiles on Social Networks

So while 62% of Fortune 500 companies have a presence on Twitter, and 58% are on Facebook , the leaders of these companies are far behind in terms of social network use. Warren Buffett has the 3rd highest Klout score (behind Rupert Murdoch and Michael Dell) although he only tweeted once from his official account, back in February of 2009.
