Google doesn’t forget! Facebook is a social network and its intended purpose is online networking. Facebook’s intended purpose when created by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 was for connecting college students with each other in their respective universities. They’ve been a great bunch of supportive women.

The High Point: Facebook In 2004, I joined Facebook and my behavior changed drastically. I became a lot more conservative in choosing my friends in Facebook (as broken down in the chart below) with a few exceptions because Facebook is starting to blend in with my social media enthusiasm. I had many friends just like that.

See, I’m one of those Facebook users who have been on the service since February 2004, which is quite a long time considering Facebook was open to about three schools at the time that I signed up. These are friends who have no direct ties to the industry, but in using social networks, we’ve formed close bonds and friendships.

As a college graduate and early adopter of Facebook (in 2004), I could definitely see that. Why did I join in 2004? It was a real private but promising social network. In fact, you can validate that by cross checking my user ID, 102991, which should indicate that I’ve been around for a real long time (since February 2004, to be more precise). Basically, Facebook thinks they can run a similar model to Google, not having live customer service. and I felt the same way as you did. Who needed that?
