The High Point: Facebook In 2004, I joined Facebook and my behavior changed drastically. To answer some questions, Industry connections are those I know through the search industry (primarily) but I have not yet met in person. LinkedIn is a industry tool. I had many friends just like that.

In an environment where your changing avatar is accepted as your image to the world, where people exchange ideas that frequently lead to business opportunities and where 'real' friendships are formed it was important to have a few boundaries that could help establish trust. The Edelman website surely does that. I think so.
