The other option (which could be combined with the above) is Facebook could be ready to launch a true Google+ Hangouts competitor using their Skype relationship, allowing people to better share and collaborate and "watch" their favorite videos with groups of their closest friends and family. Kinda reminds me of Myspace - I hope not.

Facebook and/or MySpace are useful social networks where you can build outposts (see next list). Get a Wordpress.com account for its OpenID benefits. Build a similar outpost on MySpace, if your audience might be there. It’s a good idea to build an account on some of these sites to further extend your personal branding.
