I’d like to see, for example, all of the paper’s photos posted to Flickr, although copyright issues might prevent this. I’m surprised there are not other services on the Sentinel’s FriendFeed page, but perhaps this is because it’s a new endeavor, or the Sentinel wants to keep things simple.

I have had many camera phones and many digital cameras but it’s only since I got my (original) iPhone that I have posted images to my blog and Twitter via Flickr and Twitpic. There are too many steps to recording a video, moving it from device to device, getting it ready to upload, and uploading it.

Brightkite automatically creates a short URL for every check-in and cross-posts to Twitter, Flickr and Facebook, though the Facebook implementation has had some issues. (This is a critical capability and one Brightkite did not always have.) You can post a picture and/or note in association with your check-in.
