Register your site with all the top search engines. Facebook and/or MySpace are useful social networks where you can build outposts (see next list). Get a Wordpress.com account for its OpenID benefits. Build RSS outposts on Facebook. Another promotion tool: use the status section of LinkedIn and Facebook.
