Problems embedding Youtube videos in WordPress? With the roll out of new embedding tools from Youtube, Vimeo etc, it turned out that WordPress was stripping out the code whenever you tried to publish an embedded video. Everyone’s a curator now.

Just be sure you compress them down as much as you can before embedding them. The first option is to upload a video link (YouTube, Vimeo or your own video) to create a GIF. It’s more suited to curated content than creating your own GIFs (with less options than Giphy) but it does allow you to create GIFs from your own video files.
