A Jakob Nielsen study once found that 90% of online community users are lurkers (read or observe without contributing) with only 9% of users contributing ‘a little’ and 1% actively contributing. But comments and interactivity are the first step to building community around your blog and I believe this is really important.

The blog platform, as an open source community, is collectively shared by anyone and everyone who contribute code and provide feedback about what works and what needs improvement. Maintenance Mode is an “under construction” splash page that temporarily appears when I make programming changes and don’t want you to see anything.
