Every few seconds this morning, TweetDeck brings another comment on today's announcement that Salesforce.com is buying Radian6. The price ($340 million in stock and cash, including retention bonuses for the founders) is larger than expected, but overall, it's a logical deal that surprises no one.

They offer sentiment analysis, trend comparisons, geographic analysis, theme detection, authority measurement, demographic and, a classification engine similar to Radian6 or Sysomos and the same basic price point of about $500 a month. In addition you can buy monthly reports that add quantitative analysis using their analysts.
