Don’t forget back in 2004, David Storey paid $26,500 in Entropia , then Jon Jacobs invested $100,000 in a virtual space station in Entropia in November 2005, and of course Anshe Chung became a millionaire via Second Life in 2006. If I had the money and time, I think I would try to make investments in this kind of virtual worlds.

The next stage will be a 24/7, multi-medium, pervasive gaming experience which has the potential to completely overtake the likes of Second Life and World of Warcraft, which are still tied into one specific universe. My money would be on Microsoft to be the brand to make it happen.

If you think about it 2D interactive platforms that have aggregated eyeballs (either Myspace in the Consumer space or Webex in the Corporate space) are, IMHO, all going to end up in the 3D space. In double-looping on this I ponder… Is it just me or did you notice that either Google or Yahoo is snapping everything up this food chain.
