Hawaii is celebrating its 50th year as a state this year, the Weiner mobile started in 1936, making the Weinermobile the older of the two. Oscar Meyer’s stunt is perhaps the oldest and longest running mobile marketing campaign in the country. The Oscar Myer Weinermobile makes an appearance in Hawaii this week.

Doesn’t it call to mind the Flickr-Virgin Mobile brouhaha from a few years ago? Maybe I should approach them about doing some consulting. ;). You read that right. You cannot opt out of your activity being turned into advertisements. Granted, the case eventually went nowhere , but I couldn’t help but be reminded of it.
