Changes announced today to Facebook’s privacy agreement suggest the company is about to flip the switch and add location-based capabilities to the social network. I guess Facebook could clone Foursquare’s badges and point system, but then it would be Foursquare screen scraped into Facebook. I don’t think so.

Most location-based services have a few basic social networking features like finding and adding friends, and communicating with friends via private messages. As they collect points, they also get badges. To become mayor, a user must also post a profile picture. )
