There are several other options, such as Flickr, Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger, etc… even Ping.fm. It really is a community. I think what delights me most about Amplify is that there really is a community sense to it. And I dont see the point of unintentionally undercutting a platform that is already active.

Flowtown allows you to take email addresses (like the people subscribed to my newsletter) and determine in which social networks they are active. For example, when I’m ready to invite people to my new Facebook Fan Page, I can use Flowtown to determine which of you are active on Facebook, and send an email only to that group.
