I am utilising them because we’re not competing on a fair playing field, and what is supposed to work is very rarely what ranks, at least in the industries that I operate in.

Over the next several decades, it continued to expand smartly into adjacent industries and around the world. It’s not like anyone is forcing you to actually use the links for your authority sites; there’s very little to lose by testing them out in a new industry. The irony is that you would probably get penalised.

Yet again, a company worth billions of dollars didn’t have an SEO on their team competent enough to find pages like that and think it may be a concern? But maybe the SEO guys at StumbleUpon or Rdio or FOX news don’t realise they can do the same (or at least nofollow it for their own protection). That really surprises me.
