As a side-note, at the start of the year I wrote about how I use Netvibes for pretty much everything. I had a number of problems with the service – such as feeds constantly un-marking themselves as read – and my 5 emails to the Netvibes team may as well have gone ignored as I just received generic replies.

The source that had increased dramatically (Netvibes) now seems to be on normal levels, so this may be the true count; I really don’t know with Feedburner these days.

Blog subscriptions, fancy sidebar’s and “most commented post&# widgets are all really just extra ways to get people to stay in the simple loop of it being them, and your content, and you. Now that I’m using netvibes this is no longer the case (thanks Glen). Content simply gets most of my attention.
