I think plurk is more for networking and twitter more for tweeting news/events/links. If you want a more close knit type of social media, plurk, hands down. If you’re looking to establish a professional relationship with someone, consider LinkedIn. LinkedIn is still seen as the more professional of the two. Considering the above example, I pose a question on Facebook etiquette: Is it appropriate to let these requests sit in pending mode or to reject the friends outright??
