What I find fascinating is that with so many social media marketing techniques, applications and opportunities, I feel we are rapidly losing focus on what authentic connection looks like. I very much am in the camp of quality over quantity (would rather have 100 fans who listen and appreciate the dialogue than 5,000 who never engage).

If the content gets plenty of comments (good/bad), you need a response plan (the oft mentioned engagement). gotta follow up to capitalize on what's working, identify and correct what's not. One thing I might add to the document is the what next, after what do we want them to do, what's the follow up process?
