Here is a nifty, simple search engine optimization trick that I bet you didn’t know. I am not sure if Google has done this on purpose, but some links that are posted in Google Plus are automatically tagged with a nofollow link attribute, meaning that there is not any search engine optimization value added to the link.

Every web portal has to abide by Google’s webmaster guidelines to reach amongst the top ranking in search engine results. Two of the most common Google penalties are Google Panda and Google Penguin and few others which de-index your web portal and in some cases removes the website from the search engine results.

Links from other sites to your site are basically a ‘vote’ that tell search engines you are trusted and you are a good resource for whatever your content is about.
