Within 24 hours of my blog post about how they were abusing their loyal readers by stuffing dozens of links in their widgets, they removed them from their widget code. Yet again, a company worth billions of dollars didn’t have an SEO on their team competent enough to find pages like that and think it may be a concern?

Yoast higlighted that Godaddy we’re using widgets on their website builder and linking back to their own website with anchor-text rich backlinks. It took a few emails for them to understand what I was talking about so I sent them the screenshot you see in this post of all the widgets with the links underneath.
