The key here is that the resulting page contains an RSS feed that I can then add in my PLE. Kebberfegg gives you one place to set up as many as "64 keyword-based RSS feeds at a time, in yummy HTML or OPML flavors." Blog searches are topical as well. I started with Technorati but added Google Blog Search feeds as well to my PLE.
