PLEs are meant to simplify managing these artefacts, creating meaning through aggregation, linking and metadata tagging (eg comments, keywords). Through mashing into their weblog templates, they can directly open their own social bookmarks, images and other web services to which they subscribe. This prototype is called PLEX.
