One advantage blogs have over other websites is the ability to submit to tons of various blog and RSS aggregators. This should be your immediate goal as well.

Bloggers who are compensated can use the “nofollow&# tag within their outbound links to keep those links from being tagged by Google as paid content. The nofollow may well make that harder, but then again, if you are under contract I think it’s the buyer’s responsibility to track the postings of the paid blogger.

What a conversion actually is varies from site to site, but for me, my conversions were product purchases and RSS subscriptions.
