Other hosted options include pbWiki , Stikipad (see comments), Wetpaint and Wikia. MediaWiki - the platform that Wikipedia, amongst many other wikis, runs on - is probably the best of the free self-hosted options. Here’s a suggestion for a tenth point: Don’t try to re-create Wikipedia. There is no tenth point.
