Twitter designer Brittany Forks announced the new feature via tweet:

According to Casey Newton of The Verge, in Twitter’s Android application, the QR codes can be found by clicking the … menu in users’ profiles or in the slide-out menu under night mode, while only the first applies to the iOS app.
