Do you have this problem with custom events?
I initially thought I was alone in this, but I’ve been hearing from others who are experiencing this bug, too. It’s annoying, but there’s a fix.
If you create custom eventsConversion events tracked by the pixel, app SDK, or API that are outside of standard events. These tend to be created to fit the publisher's needs when a pre-defined standard event will not. More, you’ll want to add them as columns to your Ads Manager. But for whatever reason, not all of the custom events you create will appear. There’s no rhyme or reason to which custom events are available and which ones aren’t.
To correct this, you’ll need to create a custom conversionCustom conversions let you create rules for events or URLs so that you can better track and optimize for specific actions with Facebook ads. More. When you create that custom conversion, select the custom event as your event. Then create a URL rule that will capture all of these events. You could use a forward slash or your domain.
You should then be able to select this custom conversion when adding columns to Ads Manager. If it doesn’t appear right away, you may need to wait a little bit.
I’ve had this bug forever, so it’s kind of shocking that it appears to be a widespread issue. The custom conversion is a relatively easy workaround, but, come on Meta. Can you just fix this for us?
