A great tool to collect this kind of data is a site called Klout. Klout allows you to sign in and link up a variety of social media platforms. Klout is a great way of measuring overall influence in your niche and on your social media sites as a whole, but overviews still aren’t quite as valuable as the actual facts.

Can you find video footage of them on YouTube, Vimeo, etc.? Use free tools to draw a rich contextual picture, such as Watch that Page, Topsy, Backtype, Klout, Twitalyzer and LinkedIn Signal. Check out their Foursquare activities to see if you frequent the same places.

With the roll out of new embedding tools from Youtube, Vimeo etc, it turned out that WordPress was stripping out the code whenever you tried to publish an embedded video. Klout and Peerindex: Social network loyalty cards. Problems embedding Youtube videos in WordPress? Why don’t Facebook fans like us anymore?

Obviously Youtube and others such as Vimeo have video covered, and my blogs and websites do the job for text. How might it serve us, and others, to be able to set it free, and accumulate it all in the same way as Klout and Peerindex attempt to pull in our activity and interaction to assign us scores for influence?
