Article submission is becoming a bit dated in terms of Google optimization and building backlinks. Write articles on topics of your choosing, with custom links and anchor text.

3 – Does it make sense to keep working on building backlinks for a mini-site on a keyword that really doesn’t have much competition (they have like 0-5 not that great backlinks only, really) when you could start another project? The buzzle stats particularly interest me.

Utilise Free Content Sites Another link source that I don’t really love but I see doing well for a lot of sites is utilising free content sites like Squidoo , Gather and Hubpages. It would be far more powerful for ViperChill to have a homepage link from Problogger than it would be to have a link from Hubpages or an automated link farm.
