I strongly recommend using a pinging program like Ping.FM The usage of videos and photos creates an additional level to promote your online presence. You’ll notice that photographs, links and video are applied plus conversations are introduced. or TwitterFeed because you will have more visibility for your target audience.

Time decay: The newer the content, the more likely it will show up in your news feed. Like I pointed out above, if your content gets a low score, it may not even show up in the Recent News feed. So what you need to do is optimize your news feed. Share photos and videos: These are the best ways to get engagement from people.

There are several other options, such as Flickr, Tumblr, WordPress, Blogger, etc… even Ping.fm. This is important to me since I’ve noticed people tend to interact with posts that include visual material much more, be it images or videos. I don’t auto-post to all of those, but it’s nice to have the option.
