Twitterfeed and HootSuite offer the ability to take a RSS feed from any site and update it to your Twitter account automatically when new feed items are found. Pros of Automatic RSS Feed Updating. So if you have your feeds updated every hour, post other status messages at 10 minutes after the hour to stay up for awhile.

I strongly recommend using a pinging program like Ping.FM This can be something as simple as networking with respected peers in your niche, set up Twitter Feed or create a new social media group on Facebook or Linkedin.

You can easily drown in the noise, so you need tips and tools to help you break through that noise. Time decay: The newer the content, the more likely it will show up in your news feed. Like I pointed out above, if your content gets a low score, it may not even show up in the Recent News feed. The other tool is HootSuite.

Now is a good time to sign up to receive new articles by email as soon as they are published or subscribe to our RSS feed. On your blog/website, provide links to your other networks on every page.
