Bloggers who are compensated can use the “nofollow&# tag within their outbound links to keep those links from being tagged by Google as paid content. The nofollow may well make that harder, but then again, if you are under contract I think it’s the buyer’s responsibility to track the postings of the paid blogger.

I thought Google had added a nofollow algorithm for article directories and that it wouldn’t count those links because the idea is to get your links from publishers who use your articles rather than to rely on links from the directories. I ran a DJ blog which I later let die due to other interests and I even ran ViperChill for a year (a long time ago) without getting one single comment or feed subscriber. Naomi Dunford at Ittybiz doesn’t show her feed count (though it’s high) but instead shows the number of monthly visitors she gets in a nice graphic.

Decide on a Brandable Name Because these blogs write so much, they don’t have as many people coming to their blog via feed readers as you would expect.
