Liz Hover, a Canadian digital media manager : I’m not a fan of feed readers. I’m not the type of person to ‘park’ information for later reading. I find the layout of feed readers noisy. Why do some people prefer reading blog articles by email? I devour email. One inbox. Email is so simple.

The solution to this would be having an RSS feed with only your content in it from each of the sources you write for. When I came to the realization that I wanted this type of an RSS feed, I thought “Super, I’ll use Yahoo Pipes.&# You can still get to it and burn it to Feedburner using the direct URL such as [link].

Subscriber Stats I really don’t know if I should continue reporting on Feedburner as the count is just far too erratic. Every day the figure fluctuates by thousands of readers, going as low as 4,000 to as high as 12,000. But with Feedburner, who knows. Yup you are right about the feedburner stats.

All I knew was that 20% of people visiting in the last month typed in ‘thewayoftheweb’ into a Google search box, regardless of whether they were secure or not, and no further information was available. That’s entirely lost now.

On a related note, this morning I was skimming my feed reader and found this post from Stephen Downes on finding time to blog. I guess each individual has their own optimum time of day for certain types of tasks. Enter your email address: Delivered by FeedBurner. Nobody has time for that. Everyone is different.

Feedburner If you’re a blogger and you’re not using Feedburner, I first of all want to know where you’ve been, and secondly need to say that you have been missing out. Feedburner basically provides the little yellow “chicklet&# that you see on the top right hand corner of this blog.
